We are always taught that we should learn to stand for ourselves. That being independent is a smart way of living. But what can you do about people who can never stand for themselves, or voice their opinions. My husband is 1 such person. He can never open his mouth in front of his parents. They treat him like a kid whose opinion hardly ever matters. He is a person never heard of. They override his decisions, ignore his suggestions & trample over his choice & desire.
I sometimes feel like helping him but how much can you actually do for a person who does not wish to be helped. He is happy being a wuss, a person who is on the beck & call of his parents, even if it means hiding stuff from his own wife or telling her important things at the 11th hour. I have given up on him, that he would ever be treated like a man - a mature person.
This home is like a Military school. U are supposed to wake when the General asks you to, else he will be very angry. You are not supposed to argue with the General. Give the General all the respect only to be kicked in the ass by him later & still never open your mouth.
